The short version

There is no account and we do not collect your name or email. Every test runs in your browser and your results are stored there, not on a server. We cannot see them.

Who is responsible for this site

DailyRound is run by an individual publisher in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the limited processing described below. You can reach us through the contact page about anything here, including a request to exercise any of the rights at the end.

Data stored in your browser

Every test result, your streak and your personal bests are saved using your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device and we have no way to read it. Clearing your browsing data removes it permanently, so use the export button first if you want to keep it. Local storage is not a cookie and is never attached to a network request.

Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics and nothing else, to count page views so we can tell which tests people use. It was chosen because it does not identify you: it sets no cookies, does no fingerprinting, and builds no profile or cross-site history.

What it records is the page address, the referring site, and coarse technical facts — browser, operating system, device type and country. What it does not record is anything you do inside a test. Your scores, your typing and your history are never part of it, because they never leave your browser in the first place.

Server logs

To be precise rather than merely reassuring: this site is served by a hosting provider which, like every web host, records standard request logs including your IP address, the page requested and your browser's user-agent string. That happens at the network level before any of our code runs and is necessary for the site to be delivered at all. We do not use those logs for analytics and we do not build profiles from them.

Advertising

There is currently no advertising on this site and no advertising cookies are set. The intention is to fund it with advertising later. If that happens, this page and the cookie policy will be updated before any ad is served, and if you are in the UK or the EEA you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set, with a way to change or withdraw that choice.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. In practice most of these are already in your hands here: the data is on your device, the export button gives you a copy, and the clear button erases it. For anything else, use the contact page.
