Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026.
Right now, this site sets no cookies at all
Not one. There is no advertising and no tag manager. Nothing here needs a consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. You can check in your browser's developer tools: open the Application or Storage panel on any page and the cookie list will be empty.
The one third-party script, and why it changes nothing
There is a single script from outside this site: Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views. It is cookieless by design — it stores nothing on your device, does no fingerprinting, and cannot recognise you on a return visit or on another site.
That distinction is the whole reason it is here rather than Google Analytics. Under UK PECR, consent is required to store or access information on your device. A counter that stores nothing does not trigger that duty, which is why this site can measure its own traffic without putting a banner in your way.
What we store instead, and where
Your test results, streak and personal bests use local storage, which is not a cookie. Local storage is never attached to a network request, so unlike a cookie it is not sent to us or to anyone else. It stays in the browser you played in.
It is stored under a single key, dailyround.history.v1, and holds a list
of your attempts: which test, the result, and when. Nothing identifies you.
Every test page has an export button, which downloads that data as a JSON file, and a clear button, which deletes it. Clearing your browsing data has the same effect.
What will change when advertising is introduced
The intention is to fund this site with display advertising. When that happens, advertising partners will set cookies, and this page will be updated to name them before any ad is served. Visitors in the UK and the EEA will be asked for consent through a certified consent management platform first, with a way to change or withdraw that choice from the footer.
Nothing about the tests themselves will change. Your results will still be stored in your browser and still never uploaded.
